There will be another full entry of 90 cars lining up at Donington Park on Sunday March 13th, when the Dukeries MC will be running the Northside Truck & Van Donington Rally.
Neil Roskell and Andrew Roughead currently head the Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship in their Ford Fiesta R5, having finished on the podium on every round, including a win at Cadwell Park and second place at Snetterton last weekend.
Former Motorsport News Champions Barry Morris / Tom Hutchings are back with their Darrian T90 GTR too and will certainly be vying to be the fastest two wheel drive car.
But Roskell’s main challenge will come from David Henderson / Sion Cunniff, whose Fiesta R5 won at Snetterton.
Other Fiesta R5’s will be out in the hands of Dukeries Motor Clubs  own John Griffiths / Nigel Wetton who were fourth at Snetterton and Paul Murro / Callum Cross who were fifth.
Racer Nick Whale and wife Sally are back in their Skoda Fabia R5 Evo, hoping for better luck having retired on the opening stage of last December’s Dukeries event, similarly Tony Robinson and Paul Spooner.
In what should be a highly competitive top 10 Darrell Taylor / Dylan Thomas bring their Fiesta Rally 2, with Alistair and Colin Inglis in their similar car down from Scotland, while Steve Finch and Sam Fordham, (winners of the Flying Fortress Stages last summer) and Mike English / Andy Robinson Fiesta Rally 2 should be in the fight too.
Look out too for the sideways styles of Martin Hodgson / Tony Jones and Josh Payton / Jamie Vaughan’s Escort Mk2’s and Joshua & Tamsyn Davey’s Darrian, who will be battling for overall places as well as class wins.

The Northside Truck & Van Donington Rally will be the first competitive motor sport event at Donington Park in 2022 and will feature 7 special stages and 50+ competitive stage miles. Stage 1 will start at 9.15am and the first car should finish the final stage at around 5.00pm.  Tickets are available on https://doningtonpark.msv.com/DP-22-Stagerally

For any motorsport event to be a success it needs the support of a large number of volunteer Marshals and Officials. If you are able to marshal on the Northside Truck and Van Donington Rally but have not yet registered, then details can be found on the event website at www.doningtonrally.co.uk/marshals-and-officials
